Cookie Policy

This page lists every cookie and piece of browser storage that TrustSolo uses, what it does, and how to manage it.

Last updated: 19 April 2026

Summary

TrustSolo uses only cookies and browser storage that are strictly necessary to run the service and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics tools.

Because we don't use non-essential cookies, we don't need to show a cookie consent banner under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). If that ever changes, we'll ask for your consent before setting them.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store. “Browser storage” (localStorage and sessionStorage) is a similar mechanism for remembering small pieces of information between visits. This page covers both.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the service to work. If you block them, you won't be able to sign in or complete a payment.

CookieSet byPurposeDuration
__session, __clerk_*ClerkKeeps you signed in securely after you log in.Session / up to 7 days
__stripe_mid, __stripe_sidStripeLoaded when you sign up, connect your Stripe account, or pay. Used for fraud prevention on card payments.Session / 1 year
(hosting)VercelOur hosting provider may set short-lived cookies used to route requests to the correct server.Session

Browser storage we use

We store a small number of values in your browser's localStorage to remember preferences. These are not sent back to our servers.

KeyPurposeDuration
ts_waitlist_dismissedRemembers that you've joined the waitlist or dismissed the banner, so we don't keep showing it.Until you clear your browser storage
dismissed_noticesRemembers which in-app notices you've dismissed (e.g. the “welcome” banner on first login).Until you clear your browser storage

Third-party services

Some of the cookies above are set by third parties we use to run TrustSolo. Their use is governed by their own privacy policies:

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers also have a private / incognito mode that doesn't persist cookies between sessions.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you from signing into TrustSolo or completing a payment. Blocking browser storage will reset the pre-launch banner and the in-app welcome notice on every visit, but won't otherwise break the service.

To clear TrustSolo's browser storage manually in Chrome: open DevTools (Cmd/Ctrl + Option/Shift + I) → Application → Storage → Local Storage → select the TrustSolo entry → Clear.

Changes to this policy

If we add a new cookie or start using a new third-party service, we'll update this page before the change goes live. For non-essential cookies, we'll also ask for your consent.
